Internationally acclaimed Mexican guitar duo, Rodrigo y Gabriela return to Ruth Eckerd Hall for the first time since 2014 to celebrate their 10th Anniversary! Their music spans a number of genres including nuevo flamenco, rock, and heavy metal as they continue to weave their unique six-string magic.The extraordinary interplay between Sanchez’s fiery lead lines and Quintero’s phenomenal rhythmic battery is truly universal. The duo’s discography consists largely of unaccompanied duets on the classical guitar. The musicians gained a reputation by playing on the streets of Dublin, Ireland and gained a cult following. In 2011, they collaborated with Hans Zimmer on the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides soundtrack while also contributing to the soundtrack for the Shrek prequel Puss in Boots.
