OFFICIAL DETAILS FOR “March for Our Lives – Pinellas”
Date: March 24, 2018 – 11 am – 3pm
Location: Poynter Park, Saint Petersburg
We the students in order to create a safer society are advocating for “common sense gun control” and awareness for the movement to prevent gun abuse; while highlighting the importance of mental health resources, and racial acceptance. Come March with Pinellas County Students to demand that our lives and safety become a priority and that we end gun violence and mass shootings in our schools today. #NeverAgain
Additional Information Regarding March: It will be held at Poynter Park in Downtown St Pete adjacent to USFSP. We will gather in the park before the march to listen to Guest Speakers for a short period of time. We will also have food vendors as well as portable restrooms available to anyone attending. Thanks to the SPPD there will be a very strong police presence to keep everyone safe, as well as all of the streets we will be marching down closed. #Pinellas4Parkland #MSDStrong !

March Color:
Many have been asked if there is a color to wear to unite everyone, and the answer is yes, Orange! Orange is the nation wide color used in the movement against gun violence. Blue will also widely be used because of the fact that the official March For Our Lives has used that color.

Vendors/Booths:
Please arrive by 9:30 am in order to begin setup and have everything completed in a time orderly fashion.
LYFT:
Lyft is a card ride service used all around the world, and they have offered to provide free rides to all of the March For Our Lives locations. Lyft has not released any other information regarding how to obtain this free ride or if there is a code of somesort you must use.

Voter Registration: 16 AND OLDER!
16 & 17 year olds can pre-register to vote to receive their voter registration card upon their 18th birthday, all you need is your Driver’s License OR the last 4 digits of your social.
18 years and older can register on the spot with your Driver’s License OR the last 4 digits of your social.
Weather:

Parking:
We have a list of parking lots/garages in the area, but we need to verify with property owners that it is okay for us to advertise their lots/garages are available parking for the event.
